This is a story that is pretty close to every parent's nightmare. I'm sharing it in the hopes that the more light directed in her direction, the less dark there will be for evil to thrive.
My hope is that you will read it, send some positive thoughts/prayers her way, and pass it along.

Coffee in a purple cup
Pretty much forever my dh has made me coffee in the morning when he's in the States, and he always uses my favorite purple cup.
My coffee was sitting on the counter on Wednesday while the children were putting away the breakfast dishes.
One of the dishes fell and landed just perfectly on my cup. It broke. :(
I loved this cup, and I used it for coffee or tea every day for years and years. It was a total accident, so I wasn't upset at the kiddo at all, but I was pretty sad about my cup. I had loved this cup and the coffee that dh made for me so much that I handpainted some yarn in a colorway inspired by the two. So what does dh do?
He abruptly left yesterday morning before work with kiddo in tow, and came home with two purple cups. One from the kiddo who accidentally broke it, and one from him as a backup. It's not quite the same as my former favorite purple cup, but I'm sure that I'm going to love this cup just as much. It's my favorite purple cup, you see.

Freedom!
Matthew got the news yesterday. His eyes are nearly perfect! I admit, I was really really worried about it. What if, what if, what if? The prospect of surgery again, or tests not yet imagined, was looming in my head and I couldn't shake my worry.
We will go to Oklahoma City one more time in a year, and if that appointment goes as well as we expect it to, he will not need to be followed by a specialist again. His eyes will need to be cared for just like everyone else. No glasses, no surgery, no what if.
Just.... relief.

Well...
We had a really difficult fall, and a difficult winter, and a difficult spring. Things are now really looking up, though. I'm on summer break from KU, and I am going to enjoy every minute of it.
